Project Assistant is a Philippine-based digital agency with a global footprint — 300+ projects delivered for US startups and enterprises across full-stack web applications, custom WordPress development, and e-commerce. We work across five continents and we punch well above our weight.

The reason we can do that: we’ve built our own AI development infrastructure.

Not a chatbot. Not a copilot. Not code autocomplete. We run a full agentic software delivery system — 40+ specialized AI agents that handle strategy, requirements writing, code implementation, testing, auditing, and deployment. Quality-gated pipelines take a feature request from idea to audited, tested,
merged code. An expert system auto-injects technology-specific context per project. Always-on AI team members handle CTO-level code review, project management, and operational coordination alongside human team members. The whole thing orchestrates 10+ concurrent client projects on dedicated build
infrastructure.

We are not hiring someone to write code all day. We are hiring someone to operate this system and build things with it.

Must be able to meet regularly in person, probably two to three times a week in a shared like co-working space or coffee shop type meeting. 

What You Will Do

  • Write strategy documents and requirements specs that our agent pipeline executes against real client projects
  • Review AI-generated code through quality gates — understand what passed, what failed, and why
  • Configure expert systems for new technology stacks (each project gets auto-injected context for its specific frameworks and patterns)
  • Orchestrate multi-agent workflows for client deliverables: FastAPI backends, React/Next.js frontends, WordPress builds, Supabase databases
  • Extend the platform itself when a client project exposes a gap — define a new agent, write a new automation, improve a pipeline stage
  • Debug where an agent goes sideways and understand the root cause, not just the symptom
  • Collaborate with both AI and human teammates in a distributed, async environment

What We Are Looking For

3+ years of web development experience. Framework knowledge matters less than your ability to read a codebase you didn’t write, understand what’s wrong, and fix it precisely.

Systems thinker. You understand that a change in one place has effects elsewhere. You read error messages carefully. You do not guess.

Precise communicator. The requirements you write become input to an agent pipeline. Ambiguity in your spec becomes ambiguity in the output.

Genuinely curious about AI-augmented development. Not enthusiastic in a buzzword way — actually interested in how these systems work, where they fail, and how to make them better.

Comfortable with async, remote work. Distributed team. You manage your own time and communicate proactively.

Technical Skills

  • Python (FastAPI backends, scripting, automation)
  • JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js
  • Docker and Docker Compose
  • Git and GitHub Actions
  • Supabase or comparable Postgres-backed database experience
  • Ability to read and reason about code you didn’t write

Bonus Skills

  • Prior experience with Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI development tools
  • Familiarity with writing specifications that AI systems execute
  • Multi-agent orchestration or automation pipeline experience
  • Shopify / Liquid templating
  • Prior agency experience — you understand client projects have real deadlines and real people waiting
